How to Warm Up a Guest Room for the Holidays
If you want to make your house ready for guests during the holidays, just a few simple changes can really warm up a guest room. Get three tips in this Better Homes and gardens video:
1. Swap out your sheets for something that’s really cozy in the winter, like flannel. Flannel is not only affordable and really soft but also takes color very well, so you can get dark, wintry colors. Dark greens, blues or reds are lovely at the holidays.
2. If you want to spiff up the bed in an unexpected way, take Christmas lights and put them across the headboard. It acts as a nightlight and is very inviting when guests walk into the room for the first time.
3. Just in case it’s even colder than expected, get a faux fur blanket and put it at the base of the bed.
