Fresh and Cozy Basement Transformation
The overall feel and vision for the unfinished basement in this architect’s home was to create a room that was fresh and cozy. See the transformation in this House & Home video:
Carpeted steps lead down to a stained waxed oak hardwood floor with a dimpled underlayment that allows water to drain. A white color palette, neutral furniture, wall paneling, moldings and framed art work set the tone for the overall space. A custom built-in with a backlit mirror provides ample storage as well as additional lighting, while the geometric custom tables offer flexibility and movement. The remodeled space includes a seating area, home office and gym.
