How to Make a Elegant Fall Wreath
Want something different from the usual autumn leaf decor? Learn how to make an easy but elegant fall wreath that will be a showstopper for any front door in this Better Homes and Gardens video:
For this project you will need:
- Hydrangea
- Vine wreath about 24 inches wide
- Ribbon
- Garden shears
- Wire clippers
- Green floral wire
Hanging the wreath and the ribbon separately will make the wreath appear to be hanging from the ribbon. Secure the wreath to the door with a picture nail hook, then use a self-adhesive removable hook on top and hang the ribbon from it.
Cover just three-quarters of the wreath with the hydrangea. Take green floral wire and wrap it around the hydrangea stem, then wrap the wire around one of the vines several times. This ensures the hydrangea will stay in place. As the hydrangea dry, you will get even more beautiful rich fall color.
