Fall Grass Wall Art

You’ll really fall for this pop-art piece when you see how simple it is to make. Learn how to create fall grass wall art in this Lowe’s video:

For this project you will need some spray paint, boards and a few fall grasses. For a detailed tools and materials list and project instructions, click here.

1. Start by staggering the layout of the boards and marking a straight line across the backs. This will give you an easy way to re-create the “stagger” when you hang the project.

2. Flip the boards and base-coat them with your chosen “pop” color. Let them dry, and if you moved them, re-set the boards to their original staggered positions.

3. Before you get started, experiment a little with the grasses to get a layout you like, making sure to place the pieces so they span boards, That way, they created a final image that plays out across the separated individual boards.

4. Once you’re satisfied with the layout, start applying the grasses. Spray each piece with a light coat of adhesive and position it, pressing just firmly enough to the surface so the details will be picked up when you paint.

5. With all the grasses in place, spray the topcoat, and then immediately and carefully peel up the individual pieces to reveal the pop of color beneath.

6. Once the boards are dry, attach a hanger to each board along the marked line, and then hang.

The final result – gently swaying grasses – no breezes needed!
