Bathroom Design Ideas
Designing a bathroom allows you to play with different elements and ideas, and putting the pieces together is a fun process. This House & Home video features two bathrooms and two powder rooms in one home that have their own unique style but flow with the rest of the house:
Boys’ Bathroom: This bath has an edgier feel but has some classic elements. The walnut finish gives it a warm tone. Black hexagon floor tile contrasts with the warm walnut finish and the classic white subway tile on the wall.
Girl’s Bathroom: The pretty, classic vanity and the white subway tile with hints of milky pink give this bath a feminine feel and make it glitter and shine. A freestanding rack for knick-knacks, soaps and towels provides storage while keeping the space open.
Formal Powder Room: This bath was the place to splurge as evidenced in the white wall tile, dark floor tile, polished nickel faucets, oil-rubbed bronze chandeliers and silk wallpaper. While a mix of different finishes were used, the look was kept subtle.
Informal Powder Room: Simple but stylish, this bath has a beautiful gray vanity, and the classic hexagon tile on the feature wall sparkles in the space.
