Luxurious Master Bedroom

Symmetry, sleek materials and a crisp modern color palette make the master bedroom in the 2015 HGTV Smart Home a luxurious retreat. See the details in this HGTV video:

This beautifully styled master bedroom is a luxurious space to start and end the day. It all starts with the room’s architecture – vaulted two-story ceilings and skylights that flood the room with light. Dimensional wood trim painted white adds visual interest to the walls around the entire space.

A luxurious queen bed anchors it all. The linen-covered upholstered headboard gives a nod to the stylings of a traditional wingback chair. Texture and a subtle pattern on the linens lets the bed’s shape stand out. On either side of the bed are pairs of lamps, oversized mirrors, and two dressers that double as bedside tables.

The bed is centered under an incredible light fixture that is half art and half light. Even the neighbors can enjoy this piece as it is hung at the right height to be seen through the window.

Across from the bed, beautiful blue cabinetry and glittery stainless penny tile makes the built-in wet bar stand out. There’s another hidden feature inside; with the push of a button, the coffeemaker lifts up to make way for evening cocktails. An occasional chair, open shelving and a huge TV round out the other side of the space.

Three large skylights flood the room with light throughout the day. If you want to sleep in on a weekend, the motorized blackout shades can be activated without leaving the bed.
