Vertical Sweet Pea Container Garden

Interested in growing something incredibly beautiful and fragrant for your garden? Learn how to plant a vertical sweet pea container garden in this eHow Home video:

Growing on the vertical means you don’t need a lot of space to garden. A container garden can go on a terrace, patio or balcony.

You can start sweet pea plants from seed in cell packs or seed starting trays. Once they get large enough, they can be bumped up to a container.

Fill a large container with potting soil and transplant the seedlings into the container. As sweet peas are a vine and will grow up to about four to five feet tall, you will need something for them to grow on. Using bamboo sticks, position them in the soil to create a triangle, and tie them at the top with garden twine.
