Outdoor Barbecue Patio
This sheep ranch owner had a beautiful view but 800 square feet of uninviting patio space. See how the space is transformed into an outdoor barbecue patio in this DIY Network video:
For the main project, 3/4 ” plywood was spray painted brown and then cut to fit between two 6×6 posts on the bottom. A smaller piece cut for the top makes a larger opening or window. Redwood veneer was applied to these window walls. Flagstone was set before the barbecue to create a barbecue pad.
The window walls frame a high-tech stainless steel grill and protect the area from wind. A sheep head water feature adds a sense of humor. Ten-foot eucalyptus planter benches, a decomposed granite patio, new plants, and custom lighting complete this outdoor room.
