DIY Portable Planter

Create a portable planter for a deck, patio or yard that’s perfect for your favorite flowers or veggies. Learn more about this DIY project in this Lowe’s video:

This portable planter is essentially a series of stacked frames that are assembled using galvanized nails and exterior wood glue. Each frame is capped, and then the frames are glued together.

With the frame on its side, install a set of legs using adhesive and screws. Secure a rail to the legs and repeat on the other side. The rails create a ledge for the slats that form the base of the planter.

Line the interior with plastic that you’ll slit for drainage and finish the planter with your choice of stain or paint.
