How to Create Ornamental Place Settings for Your Holiday Table
With the right materials, you can add seasonal style to your holiday table. This video by Pottery Barn shows you how to create ornamental place settings:
You will need the following for each place setting:
- Holiday dinner napkin
- Napkin ring
- Small Christmas Ornament
- Decorative ribbon
1. Start each place setting with a charger that is large enough so its rim stays visible under the complete setting.
2. Add a dinner plate over the charger.
3. Lay a gold rim salad plate over the dinner plate.
4. Add a salad plate with a beautiful pattern and layer it over the setting.
5. Slip the napkin ring around the napkin. Attach the ornament to the napkin ring with a small piece of ribbon.
6. Place the adorned napkin onto the patterned salad plate with the fanned side facing the diner.
