You will need a waterproof container, a small pump kit, drill and several aquatic plants to complete this project. Choosing a container with an automatic leveler will allow the water to drain out as the rainfall fills it.

  1. Drill a hole in the side using a 1″ drill bit.
  2. Embed half of your container in the soil for visual effect.
  3. Assemble the pump and set in in the center of the container. Feed the power cord through the hole.
  4. Add gravel to the container and smooth it out.
  5. Fill with the container with water, stopping short of the top.
  6. Add aquatic plants such as water iris and bog plants.
  7. Turn the pump on. Move it up and down depending on whether you want more or less noise.
