Modern Concrete Fire Pit Design

The focal point of this modern patio design is a concrete fire pit adjacent to the table and seating. See the details in this LandscapingNetwork.com video:

The concrete fire pit was placed in the most central area of the front yard with its back to the street, which is on the upper level of the property. The fire pit is small, not only because of its location in a smaller area, but also because sufficient space was needed around the fire pit in order to place benches and chairs. A four-foot space around the pit is recommended for seating.

The fire pit has the same height and size as the table, so a long table is created when the pit is covered. It is a gas pit, with the gas line running from the house. The inside of the pit has fire glass (crushed glass) that can handle the heat of the flames; its orange tone matches the main color of the garden. Concrete was chosen as it provides the smooth finish that blends with this modern patio.
