Choose a location that gets at least six hours of full sun daily. You can plant your tomatoes directly in the ground or in a container
Use soil that is aerated and well drained and aerated. Provide nutrients and vitamins by adding compost and crushed eggshells and cover with straw mulch.
Plant your tomatoes deep in the ground or container. Covering up to two-thirds of the stem and pinching off the bottom leaves will help protect the plants in cold weather and promote root growth, enabling them to take up more food and water.
Cage or stake tomato vines to provide support.
Water tomatoes regularly and deeply and use a tomato fertilizer every few weeks.
