Bright Open Concept Family Home

Designer Karin Bennett walks you through her renovated bright open concept family home. The walls between the living room, dining room and kitchen were removed to create a large unified space perfect for entertaining, which in turn allowed incorporation of a new 12-foot-long island and custom hutch in the kitchen. Four swivel chairs create a cozy seating area in the enlarged living room; the infrequently used dining room has a built-in banquette. The powder room has herringbone tile flooring, a floating vanity and wall-mounted faucets. A new vaulted ceiling ceiling, gas insert fireplace, and skylights give a feeling of airiness and warmth to the family room. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
