How to Spray Paint Blinds

A fresh coat of paint can give new life to old vinyl blinds. Learn how to spray paint blinds in this Ace Hardware video:

Soak blinds in a tub of warm soapy water, then hang them to dry before painting.

Before painting, make sure you’re in a well-ventilated area, or spray paint outside. Hold the can of spray paint 6-8 inches from the surface of the blinds and spray in a sweeping motion, side to side with a slight overlap.

Apply multiple thin coats, waiting a minute between each. Use the wand to help open up the blinds to reach different areas. Make sure you spray from different angles to completely cover.

After letting the color dry for 20 minutes, apply a clear top coat for added protection. Let dry for 24 hours before hanging back up.
