Renovated 1930’s Century Home

This renovated 1930’s century home, originally dark and dreary, was given a new lease on life by brightening the interior and opening up the space. The entryway has geometric porcelain cement-look tile, and a closet that covered a window was replaced with a nook with a custom bench. In the living room, windows hidden by drywall were exposed and the fireplace painted white to brighten the room. Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room allowed for the expansion of the updated kitchen which has an island, navy blue lower cabinetry and white upper cabinetry; the white cabinetry carries through to the dining room hutch. The cozy den is furnished with wool area rugs and furnishings with woven fabrics. White walls, curtains and bedding make the master bedroom light and airy. The bathroom has a combined tub/shower wet room with hex tile on the floor and white herringbone subway tile on the walls, which contrast against the black vanity and brass hardware.
