Four Forgotten Spaces Made Functional and Pretty

Every home has underutilized and overlooked spaces, and with a few upgrades, they can provide much needed organization and storage. See four forgotten spaces made functional and pretty by designer Vanessa Francis in this House & Home video:

Home Office: Vanessa visualized this space as an office with wall-to-wall built-in custom cabinetry for storage. It houses her computer and all of the fabric, tile and wallpaper samples that decorators need, as well as her collection of books.

Landing Niche: The existing armoire didn’t look right and had insufficient storage. Adding IKEA built-in cabinets and wallpaper created a stylish area for storing overflow items from the linen closet.

Laundry Room: White cabinetry above the washer and dryer, vertical shiplap, black herringbone floor tile, a black pennyround backsplash and a faux ceramic sink make the space both functional and beautiful.

Walk-In Closet: A closet organizer system doubled the storage capacity, and a brass light fixture, pink wall and a small patterned rug made a typically closed-off space pretty.
