Five Wreaths for Any Occasion

These five wreaths for any occasion feature different combinations of materials and colors and are easy and fun to make. Learn more about these DIY projects in this Better Homes and Gardens video:



Cotton wreath:

1. Separate wired stem bunches of faux cotton as needed.

2. Glue cotton to a grapevine wreath, filling in as needed.

3. Add burlap bow.

Pine wreath using a cardboard wreath hack:

1. Use nail and wire to trace a circle on a piece of cardboard. Repeat with a smaller diameter.

2. Cut out the cardboard ring.

3. Repeat steps 1-2 to create a second circle.

4. Line up corrugation in opposite directions and glue rings together.

5. Mark and punch holes and wire frame together.

6. Add hanging wire.

7. Add pine garland to wire.

8. Add lamb’s ears (Tip: arrange before gluing).

9. Add pine cones, berries and ornaments, using hot glue to secure.

Pine cone flower wreath:

1. Cut two or three small pine cones into pieces.

2. Cut large pine cones into pieces.

3. Divide and spray paint pine cones in different colors. Let dry completely.

4. Attach pieces of florists wire to pine cones.

5. Attach pine cones to wreath form.

6. Use hot glue to attach pine cone flowers.

Lamb’s ear wreath:

1. Trim artificial lamb’s ear stems.

2. Pull stem through wire frame, then twist end arount openings.

3. Continue to weave branches through wire form.

4. Secure stems with florists wire.

5. Spread out leaves while working around wreath frame.

6. Add additional sprigs to wreath frame until desired fullness is achieved.

7. Cut two pieces of ribbon.

8. Tie ribbon loop to hang.

9. Tie a classic bow. Trim ends of bow.

10. Thread hanger through wire frame.

11. Secure bow to top of wreath with florists wire.

Faux boxwood wreath:

1. Trim ends of faux boxwood bunches.

2. Cut faux greenery bunches into smaller sections.

3. Layer greenery together and secure with florists wire.

4. Lay first bunch on top of grapevine wreath form. Secure with hot glue.

5. Alternate boxwood and greenery. B sure to layer so no gaps appear.

6. Secure final bunch with hot glue.
