Traditional Home with Modern Styling
This traditional home with modern styling has a calm neutral palette and curvilinear furnishings that balance the original wood paneling and wainscoting. The fluted columns were filled in and sanded, giving them a more rectilinear clean look. The kitchen layout was retained, but the cabinet hardware and door and drawer fronts were replaced, giving them a simpler profile, and a more modern and sleeker hood was installed. In the family room, the focal point is the beautiful white marble fireplace with blue veining, and blue accents are repeated throughout the space in the built-ins, accessories and drapery.
