How to Patch a Door or Window Screen

Screen repair patch kits come in different colors. The patch has an adhesive on the back that doesn’t activate until you apply heat from a hair dryer.
Buy a kit that is a close match to your screen color. Cut the patch to a size that just fits over the tear so that it’s not too conspicuous. Place the patch over the tear, hold it in place, and apply heat with a hair dryer for a few minutes until it sticks in place.
