Bohemian-Style Master Bedroom

This room was chosen as the master bedroom solely because of the non-working muddy-colored fireplace. The bed is centered under a window covered with block print drapery, and a converted custom-made rustic coffee table serves as the bench at the foot of the bed. Natural elements like the sisal rug and leather and reed rug along with family photos and personal mementos create a calm retreat.

The ensuite bath has a large freestanding soaking tub (but no shower), Moroccan-style onyx and marble tile flooring and vintage Egyptian louvered doors. A barrister’s bookcase is used for storage.
