Three Summer Perennials for Pollinators

Butterfly bush, Lilium Black Beauty, and Annabelle hydrangea have beautiful blooms that attract pollinators and make a great addition to any garden. Learn more about these three summer perennials for pollinators in this P Allen Amith video:

Butterfly bush is low-growing with gorgeous long blooms. It spreads out and will fill in your garden, but it is not invasive; it is also deer-resistant. Planting them in a group makes a big visual impact.

Black Beauty lilies are late bloomers, blooming as late as August. They are statuesque and strong enough to support themselves, and they can be grown in flowers beds, by themselves, or in containers.

Annabelle hydrangea is a beautiful plant that produces tons of large blooms. In late summer, you can harvest the blooms, strip off the leaves, bundle them together and dry them for use in fall arrangements; you will sometimes get second blooms if you cut them back. Prune them in the late winter or early spring down to 30 inches.
