Black and Brass Kitchen Renovation

The kitchen in this Victorian home was small and compartmentalized, and the homeowners wanted an open concept space better suited for entertaining. See the features of this black and brass kitchen renovation in this House & Home video:

The renovated space has factory-style glass doors opening out to the patio. There is a mix of dark cabinetry including double high pantries and light oak open shelving as well as a drywalled range hood. The island features open shelving for a cookbook collection.

Materials such as the unlacquered brass cabinet hardware and faucets and natural stone countertops were purposely selected as they will patina over time in this Victorian home. The chalkboard wall add character. A super-long dining table extends the space, and engineered hardwood flooring in a herrringbone pattern ties everything together.
