Contemporary Calm Master Bedroom Transformation

This master bedroom had a traditional four poster bed that no longer fit the contemporary look in the rest of the home. Bedding was non-existent, the nightstands were too small to flank a king bed, the carpeting had seen better days, and the sitting area had become a catch-all for unwanted items. The four-poster bed was replaced with a clean line contemporary canopy bed which gives the room some drama. Flanking bachelor’s chests strike a better balance with the king bed and offer more surface space and storage. At the foot of the bed, the settee was designed with the homeowners’ two dogs in mind; it’s the perfect sleeping space for the dogs, and it’s covered with a durable mock animal print pleather.

New wood tile gives the space a more special feel and character. An upgraded seating area invites you to sit down, put your feet up on the oval ottoman and relax. The etagere provides additional shelving space to display family photos and personal mementos.
